Hello Lovelies

Today’s post is for all you hardworking ladies who deserve a spa day to unwind from the daily hustle . As spas are on the high end side here is a DIY way to get all the luxuries and pampering at your home . I define self care as time by yourself , where you are priority , and you spend time loving yourself .
As we have Summer going on , today’s post will be around a particular ingredient  i.e MINT . Mint is excellent for the summers , it not only cools down your skin and also has a lot of antioxidants . In today’s post mint will be used in all of the DIYs so stash your pantry will loads of mint.

Let’s get started with the DIY spa day.

1 .      Hair Care : The first thing we will be making is a mint hair tonic , to make this one you’ll need
·        A cup (15-20) of pre-washed mint leaves , put them into boiling water .
·        Let it simmer for about 5 minutes .
·        Add 1 tea spoon green tea to it .
·        Let it cool down , strain it and store in a spray bottle for easy application.
·        Spray the tonic generously on the roots and secure your hair for the next DIY .

These ingredients are amazing for your scalp . This is not a hair mask but also a hair tonic which will get rid of any greasiness or any foul smell from your scalp . As in summers we generally tend to have a really greasy scalp which can sometimes give off a tinge . This tonic will help you get rid of any such thing . Mint and green tea are also great simulators for hair growth so it’s pretty much a miracle tonic .

      2.     Face Mask : This one is really easy to make . You’ll need just two ingredients i.e mint leaves and aloevera gel .
·        Take about 15-20 pre-washed mint leaves and 2 spoons of aloe vera gel .
·        Use a blender or Pestle and Mortar to make a smooth  paste .
·        Once you have the paste apply a thin layer all over your face

PC

You can apply this under your eyes as well as both mint and aloe vera are great for de puffing .This mask will leave your skin hydrated and well moisturized .

      3.     Spa drink : While you are waiting on your face mask and hair to settle in and dry make your own spa drink to sip on . Make this infused water
·        Cut a lemon into small parts ( about 8 quarters).
·        Put it into your mason jar ( or any container) .
·        Add about 15-20 mint leaves .
·        Add 10 ice cubes and water .
·        Keep this refrigerated for 10 minutes .

                                                           PC

Infused water is great for your body as it detoxifies your body thoroughly and cleanses it as well .

After you face mask seems a little dryish get into the shower and clean everything up , shampoo your hair as normal and you are done ! You will feel soooooo refreshed , minty and clean .Your skin will be left bouncy and smooth  , you will love the experience as much as I did .

P.S : As all of these are diy . Make sure you do a patch test before you slop anything on your skin .

Until next time

Polý agape (lots of love) and stay cheerful :)

Aloha !

Happy Sunday you guys : ) I have been delaying this post since two weeks as I thought I don’t carry anything special or extra ordinary to show you guys but, decided to finally post as all we need is something realistic and what we can actually carry to college .

Starting off with the bag :

I used to carry a tote bag but recently transitioned into a backpack and realised life is so much more easier with the weight evenly distributed on both shoulders . This one is a Louis Vuitton XL backpack , I opted for this one as it generously spacious and has pouch in front  which was the catch .

Let’s dig in :

The front pack : In here I keep all the things I am of in frequent need of .

farheen sabah WHAT'S IN MY BAG

       ·        A coin purse : to store all the loose change , I don’t keep the coins in my wallet as it makes the wallet bulky.

       ·        A lip balm : I need to reapply a lip balm after every two hours or so ,  I go bonkers otherwise .

       ·        A perfume : I keep switching this for a mist , for all those long college days a spray of this and I feel fresh

       ·        Mobile : I don’t think I need to give an explanation of why I take this along with me .

Moving on to the larger section of the bag

      ·        Notebook : I choose to carry an all in one book rather than different books for each subject  as it is more feasible for me to not  pack my bag according to the time table everyday . (basically I am laaazy !! )

      ·        Pencil case : All my stationary is stored in here .  Love this one  I got with a mascara I purchased .( Yaaay for free stuff )

      ·        Wallet : I carry a small wallet instead of the classic clutch one .As I find it easier to manage .I have my debit card , college identity card , some money and passport size photographs . Carrying photographs with you all the time is very essential as you never know when you’ll be needing them to paste on forms .

      ·        Water bottle and lunch box : I take packed lunch to college and have a 500ml water bottle with me to keep me hydrated throughout the day .

  That’s all folks .

  Until next time

Polý agape (lots of love) and stay cheerful :)

Happy Sunday !

We all love a clear case  for our phones as it is the perfect way to keep them protected and lookin pretty at the same time . But , due to charging and heat these covers develop a yellowish brown tinge over time and are not a pretty sight . Bring out all those tinged covers , today’s DIY will put them to use and give your phones a personalised cover worth flaunting .

Let’s DIY

You’ll need :

      1.      A clear case .

      2.     Scissors or exacter knife .

      3.     Art supplies (optional) .

Procedure :

      1.      Use wet wipes to clean the inside of the cover  .

      2.     Sprawl over the internet to get cute graphics or quotes . I found mine on tumblr .

      3.    Resize it to fit your phone case , you can get the templates for your respective           phones online  .
      4.    Print and cut it out .

      5.     Place the cut out in your clear case .

      6.     VOILA !

There you go lovelies , you have yourself a gorgeous personalized case . The best part about it is now you can have numerous cases for the cost of one .
Get flaunting !

    Until next time

Hey Kyfam !

I just got done with my third year of engineering and was left with so many half used notebooks and stray papers and wanted to do something useful with them. I clipped few sheets together to make mini handbooks and then was on a quest to use up and fill in all of them. I’ve already begun to revive a few and I found the perfect use to many.

Ok so on with the list

      1.     Goal Digger :
A little handbook that keeps a visual reminder of what my monthly / yearly goals are and is great to keep a track of stats and analytics .

pc

      2.    A Blog Log :
This one is constantly in my bag pack as I jot down any ideas or inspiration I get on the go  . It also serves as a ‘to blog’ list .

  PC

      3.    Quote Me Good :
As an instagram junkie finding the perfect caption or making up one is always a wraith. In this lil handbook I note down any good quote I come across or think of and refer to it whenever I need to . Not just for captions but sometimes just going through positive words can uplift your spirit and instantly make you feel great.

     4.    Typography / Lettering practice :
Hand lettering and typography is something I am in complete awe of and want to master the art ASAP . So , I have a practice book which also keeps a track of my progress and I can know how much I have learnt and where to improve .

      5  .    Travel Log :
I have not started filling in this one yet but , I thought it would be great if I had one and kept pictures and lil notes about my experiences in it . I know in the era we live now all of this jazz is simplified with having a smartphone but I like it the old fashioned way .Looking through albums gives me joy J

pc

I still have a few more handbooks to fill , would love to  know if you guys have some ideas on how to .

Until next time
Polý agape (lots of love) and stay cheerful :)
