Hello Guys !
Today's post is about the top ongoing trends in modest fashion that are an absolute staple in ones wardrobe.
LEGGO
1. The Maxi Dress/ Shirt dress:
It’s bang on trend for the summer, keeps you cool in the heat and protects your skin from the sun - of course it’s perfectly modest and lightweight at the same time. Breathable fabric - cottons, linens and lightweight silks - are the absolute way to go. The best part of this outfit is that it can be layered for winters as well. No excess drama just one simply flowly fabric.
2. Optic White:
This colour is huge right now, which is perfect for the summer. White is perennially chic, it looks good across the world and you can have fun in accessorizing while still looking perfectly put together. Pair it with a great scarf or some fun wedges and you can never go wrong with bold jewelry; my favorite is a statement bag/hijab.
3. Plazzo Pants:
These are absolutely perfect for any season. All these pieces can work perfectly on their own, but they look amazing when paired as a full look. Specially when you eye a super cute top at a store but, it is shorter than you expected. Pair it with palazzo for the modest yet formal look.
4. Ankle Skirts:
A skirt has always been a modest favorite. It has such a flattering silhouette and adds so much grace to an outfit. My personal favorite are pleated skirts paired with formal shirts and boots.

Until next time

Hi Kyfam !

I was raiding my closet to pack for a trip and I realized I owned a lot of bell sleeved stuff. Clearly flare sleeves are one of my biggest obsessions this summer/spring. You can wear them in so many ways, the most traditional ones being somewhat romantic or feminine. Flare sleeves typically come with tops and crop tops, however I found my pick in this dress and loved the slight embroidery patch on it which gives it a pop of color and makes it looks fresh. The dramatic sleeves reduce the extra effort you have to do to make your outfit pop. It is a smart way to ace a look. These sleeves make a statement of their own.

The top is from @westsidestores. I fell in love with it one because of the sleeves and two the chambray look. I paired it with light wash denims and a chambray hijab as well. The overall look is very summery, casual and street style.

HEY KYFAM !

If you are hooked on Instagram like I am, you’ll know the flat lay  is the way to photograph anything and everything – your travel essentials, daily outfits, beauty products, shopping successes, brunches,  lazy afternoon accompaniments and so much more. If you aren’t flat laying on Instagram, then you aren’t doing it right.
Flat laying is not restricted to the blogging elite, so follow these 5 tips and you’ll be a master in no time.
1. Shoot In Square
The first rule of Instagram flat lays or any flat lays is to always shoot the photo in square if you are taking the shot on your phone. Flicking your phone onto square grid makes it easier to see what will fit in the frame and you won’t have to worry about cropping it when it comes time to upload. If you are using your SLR camera, make sure you change the image dimensions to 640×640 pixels (or as close to as possible) so the whole image is in the frame.

          - TRADITIONAL GRID

This flat lay is achieved by keeping all of your objects lined up in a "square format" when framing your photo.  You will want to keep your items straight in a aligned manner and take the shot from a birds view ( 90 degrees angle ) .Keeping all your items in a straight aligned manner gives it a nice crisp formal look .

2. Pick a Colour Scheme
Nothing ruins an image more than colors that don’t work in harmony with each other. When selecting items for your flat lay choose a color scheme and stick to it for a set that works wonders.

- LIFESTYLED

I like to refer to this style as Controlled Chaos, or Elegantly Disheveled.  The trick with these flat lays is achieving the right framing + balance.  You want to choose an item to "highlight" (hero of the picture)+ then use the other items to create movement around it.  These definitely look like everything just fell perfectly out onto the desk, but trust me, there is a lot of handiwork involved in creating these images.  It's all about practice, so keep moving your items around until you get the perfect snap.

3. You Need Good Lighting
When shooting a flat lay it is important to have good lighting, so shoot in natural light when possible. Walk around your house with one item and take a couple of test shots to help you decide where the best lighting is. Make sure you don’t get harsh sunlight as it can give shadows in your flat lay .

-    ROOM FOR TEXT (Negative Space)

This is basically a hybrid of LIFESTYLE photo styling.  . The difference is you intentionally leave space open so that you can go back and add your own text in later with an app or in Photoshop. I LOVE LOVE this styling and often use it for my blog titles.

 4. Backgrounds Matter .
A good flat lay highlights the product and the background should not steal the show .  Opt for a basic white , wood or a light marble background . Any plain neutral toned background will do .

-    GRID WITH ALTERNATE ANGLE

The Traditional grid works for a formal theme whereas this one is the same arrangement put a slight change in the camera angle . Gives a more casual vibe and is best for vacation , outfit pictures  .

 5. Pick a Theme
Flat lays are supposed to tell a visual story, so when you choose a theme stick to it.
-                                 -   FOOD SHOT
I often get asked how I take my food shots that I post on my Instagram (@Kyriasabah) . The key is to place the dish in the centre and surround it with elements that complement it well , and always take the picture from top . Don’t shy from standing up and clicking a picture :P

Here are a few Flat lays I took :

P.S : The sample pics are outsourced from Pinterest .

Wassup Kyfam !!
I am finally done with my tests and as promised here is  today's post.

In this post I’ll be showing you a few different ways with one of my most loved wardrobe items ‘The Tunic Top’ . Tunics are a great piece to have in your wardrobe for so many reasons they are flattering for most body types , comfortable and highly versatile . You can style them throughout the year for different occasions and seasons and get the most wear out of them . As I am a Hijabi tunics are my ultimate favorites as they are not figure hugging and don’t feel bulky .

I took a basic white tunic for this post as every possible color  pairs well with it . WHITE+TUNIC = LETHAL !!!

BASICS : Monochrome why not ? Pair your tunic with the basics and some flats for a classic look . Add it up with a sling bag and arm candies and you are good to go .

Tunic : Max ,  Pant and Hijab : Riva Kuwait , Flats : Valentino studded flats

You can always change the color to look event appropriate .  I love changing the color of my pant and hijab to give a varied look to my assemble .

     ·  Office : For an office look go monochrome . There is nothing that screams formal and classy than black and white.

Tunic : Max ,  Pant and Hijab : Riva Kuwait , Flats : Valentino
Watch : Alba , Ring : Aldo accessories

     ·    Casual : For a casual look pair your tunic with denim . My favorite is the lighter shade , you can always layer this with a denim jacket or just tie it around the waist .

Tunic : Max ,  Pant and Hijab : Reliance Trends , Flats : Valentino studded flats

     ·    Formally Casual : I have a new found love for the color ‘tan/beige’ . It looks   great with most colors and gives a very pleasant look .

Tunic : Max ,  Pant and Hijab : Riva Kuwait , Flats : Valentino studded flats
Watch : Alba , Ring : Aldo accessories

LAYER  :  Layering is key , always ! You can always up your game by layering , here I put on a vase coat to add more structure to my silhouette . A long cardigan or a sleeved jacket will go on well too .

Tunic : Max , Vase Coat : Melange , Pant and Hijab : Riva Kuwait
Shoes : Valentino studded flats

DRESS IT UP : If you are heading out but want to look a little dressy belt it up . A rope belt around your tunic gives a chic look . If your tunic is a little bigger in size you can cinch it up by adding a belt and turn it into a dress .

Tunic : Max , Belt : Payless , Pant and Hijab : Riva Kuwait
Shoes : Valentino studded flats

Hope you guys find this useful and never run out of clothes to wear :P Make the most of what you have .

 Until next time

Hello ! Hello !

I am posting a fashion blog after quite a while , the last was on back in November I guess . Anyways this was very spontaneous . I was heading out for a quick bite and decided to blog on the look . It was simple evening out so , I opted for a  casual with a tinge of formal  look .

I did not put much thought into the outfit , just paired up the basics with a blazer . Monochrome never goes wrong , so I chose to wear a plain white tunic and paired it with black pants . Topped the outfit with my navy blue blazer to add a little color . For accessories I wore a ivory clutch , watch and boots .

The outfit details are listed below the images .

White tunic ( Max ) , Black Pants ( Riva Kuwait )

Navy Blue Blazer (Zara Women )

Boots ( Payless )

Watch ( Alba ) , Ivory clutch ( Accessorize )

P.S :  Follow my Instagram handle for the blog , it's linked in the footer :*

Until next time

Goodbye 20 , Hello 21! Is it me , or time is going faster ? I am pretty sure days and hours are just the same
:P . However ,  I still feel as though there is NEVER ENOUGH TIME in a week or day to do what I need to do !
Being that today is my birthday I have been playing a memory tape of the past year in my head . It’s amazing how many things can change in 365 days. I have learnt so much about myself this year, which I’ll be talking about in my next post.
This one is all about today’s shenanigans.
Started off with a prayer, it is always a peaceful day when I do so . As I stay away from my family, rang them and had a refreshing conversation.

OOTD

Paired this lovely peach long maxi from Redtag(Kuwait) with my favourite denim jacket from Lee Cooper .

Added simplistic accessories. My go to Alba watch ,rings from Claire's and stale ivory clutch from aldo accessories .

These are a few presents I received from my loved ones . Thank you so much J.

Until next time
