Hey You Guys !

It’s been so long since I’ve written a BUY or BYE post. Honestly I haven’t really experimented with something new. As soon as I decided to try sheet masks I knew I had to share my views with you guys. I have heard a lot about how good sheet masks are for our face, glow, on and on and on. But, every time I planned to get one, they seemed extremely expensive or unreal.

While strolling through the beauty section at a shopping mart I came across the super affordable sheet mask by Garnier. Here is what I think about it after trying two different tissue masks.

      1.     Green Tea Extract -  hydra bomb tissue mask :

Honestly as I was putting on a sheet mask for the first time I saw at least three YouTube videos before I tried it on. But, there was no need to , nothing complicated, the mask was very easy to put on, it comes with a blue protective film which has to be removed . However it was very slippery and drenched in serum. As soon as I put it on it felt very cold. I rested my head and shut my eyes to enjoy the cooling effect the mask had . Honestly those 15 minutes were soooooooo relaxing. 15 minutes up, I took the mask off and it still had a lot of serum on it. This masks are non reusable so had to discard them :P.

No instant results other than super , clean and soft feeling skin. The mask was for normal to Dry skin which is my skin type. I decided to give it another go as it said (best results after three uses).

     2.    Pomegranate Extract- hydra bomb tissue mask :

This one is for dehydrated skin and promises for a fresh and dewy skin.  First impressions this one has so much more serum than the previous one. Assuming because it is for dehydrated skin. After I put it on for 15 minutes and taking it odd I definitely felt more hydrated .  Compared to the tea tree one this worked better for me. I used the remaining serum on my hands and neck. After taking the mask off massage the serum and let it dry .

The masks don’t do WONDERS to our skin but definitely hydrate your skin A LOT. Especially for a girl like me who isn’t great at skincare these masks are a 15 minute solution.

VERDICT : B U Y

PRICE : The retail for 0.800 K.D each.

Until next time

Polý agape (lots of love) and stay cheerful :)

Hello Guys

Today’s post is all about my skin care routine. I have never paid much heed to my skin; I seldom used moisturizer and sunscreen. Over the years and with the repetitive breakouts I realized how much I was being negligent and finally decided to get involved into a skincare regime.

DAYTIME

Face wash: I had given up on face wash click here to know why. But, I came across this face wash and the fact that it promised no parabens and chemicals made me give it a try. Have been using it for a month now and absolutely love how light it is on the skin and is an everyday pollution defense face wash. It is suitable for all skin types.

Moisturizer:  Cannot believe I used to skip this step and go on directly with my CC cream earlier. Moisturizing is key. It provides with all the hydration and allows the foundation/BB/CC cream to glide on well. I use the Olay day moisturizing cream. Very basic nothing fancy shancy about it. Does the job pretty well and keeps my skin baby soft.

Sunscreen: An everyday essential to battle the harsh sun and pollution. However you need to reapply this every two to three hours. The one I use has a slight tint and a great SPF so, I ditched my CC cream: P

Lip balm: Got this one with the pox xo beauty box and am in love ever since. This is a non tinted lip balm and is very nourishing. Specially wearing this under matte lipsticks keeps the lips hydrated and doesn’t give that dry feel.

NIGHT TIME

Frankly my night time routine was ‘wash your face and get to bed’. Until I learned how much your skin and repair overnight and taking care of it then leads up to glowly-ness ( best way to describe).

Face oil: FANCY? YES. I only saw face oils in makeup videos and never saw myself using one. However suhait essentials “flawless skin” was sent to me and I gave it a try. BEST DECISION EVER. Rub it on your face before you go to sleep and trust me it is the most relaxing thing ever. The lavender oil helps you sleep well white tea tree oil, vitamin E work their magic.

Hand cream:  A very fruity , non-greasy hand cream. Keeps you hand soft and pleasant smelling.

Until next time

I have been practising this for the past four months and my skin has never been this clear and breakout free. My face was prone to a lot of breakouts and I had to double up on my concealer to hide the redness. However I stumbled upon this DIY mask/scrub and thought it giving it a try.
The entire concept is to avoid using chemicals on your face as much as you can. The one constant dose of chemical to my skin was my face wash so, I decided to put it away and use a natural face wash instead. There are a lot of brands claiming to be made of 100% percent natural products. However I was not satisfied and decided to make one myself.
You’ll Need :
      1.       Gram Flour.
      2.     Multani Mitti .
      3.     Mixing Bowl.
Steps :
      1.       Take equal amounts of gram flour and multani mitti . It’s very essential to do so.    The consistency does not come right if not equally proportioned.
      2.     Mix them well and store in a container.
     3.     To apply :dampen your face, take come powder mixture on your fingers and apply        in circular motion.
4 .    This can be immediately washed (like a face wash) or keep till the mask dies (approx 2 minutes) and then wash with cold water.
       5.     If you have dry skin like I do, I suggest you to moisturize your face after the mask as it can get a little dry.

Ever since I have started using this regularly I have N O breakouts! It worked really well for me. I prefer making small amounts of the mixture (1 tbsp each) at one time. That way it is completely used.

2.     Gala Of London ( Rs 199) : These are slightly drying but are really good quality and you don’t get liquid lipsticks this cheap that are extremely matte . As mentioned these are tad bit drying so you will have to prep your lips well before applying . I have them in the shade Twig and Rustic .

              BONUS : Twig is a really close dupe for Kylie’s 22 .
              Shop this online : https://goo.gl/AAtsqJ

4.     Miss Claire SMLC (Rs.150) : The best under 250 lipsticks , there are few retailers that sell these for 600,700 what not but , you should be paying 200 max for these . The shade ( Eleven) is my favorite for college wear .
      Link : http://amzn.to/2rDl59U

5.     Maybelline Baby Lips ( Rs.175) : This list would be incomplete without this product . I love this lip balm and am all about tinted lip balms .Great for college wear .

Face and skin scare :

10. Maybelline Super fresh compact (Rs.150) : This is apparently a whitening compact but , I don’t really believe in it. However it does a great work in holding your oils. But , I wish they had more shades in it .They just have three shades.

11.   Blush MUA (Rs.240) : I love the shade 01  a pretty peach and gives a pretty flush of pink on your cheeks. Perfect for the Indian skin tones .

Hello Kyfam !

I find nothing more disappointing and disastrous than spending an hour on perfecting your makeup , leaving the house feeling like a million bucks and then post few hours looking like a freshly baked cake !
We all have faced this and have tried numerous ways to tackle this by continuously touching up and stuff . Here are 5 ways to look smear proof throughout a sunny summer day .

     1.      Base :  Sunscreen is a must for summer days but , it gives a greasy look and is uncomfortable on the skin, sometimes it might leave white residues . To avoid that mix a tinted moisturizer/concealer/foundation with your sunscreen and then apply it on your face .
However some foundations may have included spf protection it is still recommended to mix some sunscreen , doing this will give the sun block a longer life .

     2.    Eyes : If you are heading to a party and need some eye shadow always always use a primer  ! This prevents the colors to mix and stay put all day long. If you are going to use an eyeliner opt for a waterproof one , if you don’t have one pat some black eye shadow over the liner this way it stays put longer .

     3.    Lips : I recommend having  lip balm on your lips all the time as it avoids chapped lips . If you are a lipstick girl go for bright colors . Bright shades like pinks and reds look great on a bright summer day .
Run a concealer outlining your lips , this prevents the lipstick from smudging and defines your lips better .

     4.    Eyebrows and cheeks : Use a spoolie or a mascara brush to tame your eyebrows , this gives them a uniform look and fills them slightly simultaneously .
For the cheeks switch your cream blush for a powder one . The creamy texture tends to crease . Go for hued shades and use a bronzer and a highlighter for a great sun kissed look .

      5.     Touch up : Finish your entire look by spraying on a setting spray or patting some loose powder . This holds on your makeup for longer and mattifies the entire look .

This summer look picture perfect with these hacks . Girls remember less is more : )

 Until next time

The Body Shop has always been one of my favorite places to shop for skincare products at. This time I went a little overboard with it but, I am glad I got some new products and am totally in love with them.

1.      Strawberry / Cocoa Body Butter :  What’s better than smelling like a fresh strawberry ? This strawberry body butter is an absolute favorite . It really leaves my skin feeling smooth and fresh . I put it right after a warm shower and it keeps me smelling pleasant all day long  .
P.S : For detail pros and cons of body butter check out my post :click here

2.      Body Puree/Whip : I got this in mango , shea and strawberry . The body whip is infused with          the extracts of the fruit and has the perfect consistency . Not too runny , not too thick . It glides on the skin effortlessly and a tiny drop will smear a long area . I love the fact that it is so light textured and highly moisturising . It is an ideal lotion for body care all year long .

3.      Frosted Berry Shower Gel :  Ever since I’ve sniffed this range in TBS I was totally hung over . It was available in the X-mas range along with  fragrances . This shower gel is such a beauty . It’s easy to lather and leaves your skin smelling and feeling great .

4.      Pomegranate Softening Facial Wash : Pomegranate being a great antioxidant , I opted for this face wash . Its a good cleanser and all that but , I wasn’t very impressed with it . It was just like any other drug store face wash and for me personally didn’t live up to it’s cost .

5.      Vitamin E moisturizing cream : Talk about a miracle product ! It legit leaves your skin soft and moisturized for a whole day .  I have been a fan ever since I started using it .

6.      Born lippy : A small pot to soft , moisturized , flavored lips . I love the tint and the smear it gives . Helps in softening and healing cracked lips .

7.      Rainforest Moisturising Shampoo : Current favorite shampoo , great for hair fall and hair volume issues as it is a completely sulphate free product  . Leaves the hair shiny and doesn’t weigh them down . Great when used with conditioner .

8.      Anti bacterial Hand Gel : These work just like any other sanitisers .I picked them up just because they were on sale and smelt great .

FAVORITES : Body butter , shower gel , vitamin e moisturizer , shampoo .

Until next time
