Getting dressed for work/college is hectic , it gets worse if you are not a morning person. Even though keeping everything ready the night before is the best remedy but let’s face it, it isn't possible everyday. So, here are 6 tips to up your lazy morning game.

1.      Baggit! : Keep your to go things (keys, perfume, clips, favorite lip shade) in a small pouch. This way you can just carry the pouch and you won’t have anything left behind .Added benefit, when you change your bag you will just have to transfer this one lil thing.

2.     Dual purpose your shower time: Got a shirt that needs a little ironing? No sweat, hang it in your wash room while you shower and let the steam work its magic.

3.     Dry Shampoo: Leave it in overnight and have fresh bouncy hair in the morning.

4.     Notes: Leave notes or reminders on your phone about important things you have to carry that day (assignments, project ). This way you can cross check before leaving .

5.     Shamelessly Selfie: Take a picture every day after you get dressed to leave, so that when you are running late you can save time to decide what to wear (big task).

6.     Nutri Bars: Always have a snack ready to take on the go in case you are too late for breakfast.

Until next time

There is nothing better than the feeling of well hydrated lips. Consuming a lot of water and eating healthy helps but , you need to put in extra efforts also .As I am not a lipstick fan  listed below are some of my favourite lip products .

Lip Balm: All of us own one at some point of time, because we know it’s just a glide away from perfection. However we don’t seem to find the perfect ratio of a moisturising balm and the perfect tint .The Baby Lips in the electro pop range (Maybelline New York) comes in different tints and is my all time favorite. The Born lippy (The body Shop) keeps your lips soft and fresh for quite a while.
Take a look at this too : https://www.reviews.com/lip-balm/

Baby lips

Born lippy

Lip Stain: This one is not so popular, but sure helps in achieving the ‘my lips but better’ look. Deep berry (The body shop) gives the best results in terms of staying on long. However a transparent lip balm on top of it is recommended as it can get a little dry.
Lip stain

Lip gloss: For girls who love a little glaze on their lips. This product can give any look a hint of glam.

Lipstick: This product can make your lips look fuller and better. However some lipsticks drain the moisture out of your lips. When you find your perfect shade make sure it is a well hydrating one. I personally am loving the Revlon Matte balm in the shade (sultry). The same shade can be found in Mac (twig) and Maybelline ( touch of spice ) .

Lipstick

Natural pink lips: Let coriander leaves sit in water overnight, the next day brush the leaves over your lips for five minutes. Practise this everyday and you shall see the results soon.

Until next time

I love body butter like a child loves candy!

It leaves the skin so soft and moisturised all day long and I can’t go about on a day without, since I've started using  it . It’s the best bet for women, especially in winters as not only does it moisturise but improves the skin texture, tones, hydrate and avoids breakouts.  It is very important to know that it should not be applied on the face, as the tissues are relatively sensitive and doing so can lead to oily skin and pimples.   Depending on your skin type there are various body butters that would suit you well .

Dry Skin :  Choose one that is oil based and heavy in consistency .
·         Organic body butter
·         Lavender body butter
·         Rose essence body butter

Oily skin : Choose one with a cocoa base , as it helps tame down the oilyness ( is that a word ? )
·         Chocolate body butter .
·         Cocoa body butter .

Normal skin : You are blessed if you have this type of skin , however to lock in the moisture go for a         fruit or vitamin based body butter . This will really enhance your skin texture.
·         Mango body butter .
·         Almond body butter
·         Vitamin E body butter .

Shea Butter : The fruit of karte/Shea tree of central Africa is used to make this miracle product , it goes well with any skin type .

You can get these at : http://www.amazon.in/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=body+butter

Who doesn't love some fancy art painted on walls! Gladly you don’t need to be an artist to dress up a blank canvas worthy of a spot on your wall. Give your walls a fresh look with this DIY wall décor.
So , over the weekend I decided to sprinkle my bland room walls with some butterfly wall décor. The supplies needed are very minimalistic.

You will need :

1.      A few printouts of a butterfly silhouette of your choice. I will leave the link to the one I used below.https://openclipart.org/image/2400px/svg_to_png/242202/Butterfly-Silhouette-6.png

2.     A pair of scissors.

3.     Glue/ tape.

Steps:

1.      Resize to choice and take printouts of the butterfly silhouette. (Try fitting at least two in an A4 sheet )

2.     Cut them out.

3.     Decide the order in which they should be placed on the wall.

4.     Glue / Tape down the body (centre) onto the wall.

5.     Make sure you have not glued the wings.

6.     To give it a life like look fold the wings inwards.

7.     Voila!

This is what the end result looked like :

A closer view for clarity on folding of the wings  :

You can use any silhouette to do this DIY  . I loved how this one turned out .

Until next time

Kuwait is where home is J I love this place and here are a few places I personally loved visiting

The Kuwait Towers :

Kuwait Towers is a trio of slender towers located in Kuwait city . It is a great place to start your tourism with as it gives you an overview of Kuwait  . The best time to visit is in the evening , as you will get to see them lighted up too.
The viewing sphere rotates , has a telescope for better view and one can dine and buy sovereigns there .

The Kuwait Zoo :

The Kuwait Zoo is a major attraction for both, the locals and tourists alike. It is one of those places that you can spend the day at .
Located in Omariya, this sprawling animal kingdom covers an area of around 1, 80,000 sq meters.

Entertainment City :

Entertainment City is largest entertainment facility in Kuwait, Doha. It compromises of four worlds full of promising fun . This should be on the top of your list when you visit .

The Scientific Centre :

The Scientific Center of Kuwait, located in Salmiya, Kuwait, is a centre for environmental education of the Arabian Gulf .It also houses a massive aquarium with hundreds of aquatic species and IMAX .

Falaika Island :

One of Kuwait’s 9 islands , it is the perfect place to escape to on a weekend .  It has the ruins from the war , hotels to stay at , rusty looks and beautiful beaches . The ferry ride however is the most enjoyable , it is the only mode of  transportation to and from the island .

Al Kout Mall :

Known for it’s night fountain shows , this mall gives Fahaheel a beautiful skyline . It is a great place to shop and a definite treat to the eyes .

The National Museum :

If you want to know the heritage , culture and complete history of Kuwait this is the apt place to visit .  It gives you the complete insight into the past of Kuwait.

360 Mall :

As the name states the mall is circular in structure , and is an absolute treat to visitors .

Aqua Park :

Perfect place for a summer splash with the family . It has water rides for both adults and children . Located adjacent to the Kuwait towers .

It is so surreal to know that so much can change over 365 days. I have learnt so much about myself in the past year, here are a few things I now abide by :

-I need to slow down and enjoy the moment.
-Be present and put the phone down (I don’t have to snapchat everything!)
-Plans and people change , get over it.
-People aren't as though they seem, therefore dust it off and move forward.
-Surround yourself with people that truly support and understand your madness.
-Don’t always analyse what can go wrong, think of the positive outcome first.
-Sometimes delays are a true blessing in disguise.

- Give your 100 % to whatever you do .
- Forgive and forget.
-Stop worrying about people’s opinions.
-Follow your heart , it is your very own GPS .
-Don’t confine yourself to a circle of people , meet new people.
-Smile more .
-Make your experiences count .
-Push yourself out of the comfort zone .
-You don’t have to be in someone’s pocket to be close to them .
- Appreciate the people who want to stay with you .
- Don’t let rumours affect you.
These things did make a positive effect on me and I hope they are helpful to you too.
Until next time
