Hello Kyfam !
In the era where everything is digitized and we tend to spend
our entire time glued on to our screens. There are a few etiquette that we
drift away from and get the title ‘ the spoilt ones’ here are few etiquette to
keep i.
n mind and maintain a perfect balance between our social and real lives
.
1.
The
person in front of you takes precedence over the person on the phone :
This usually happens when we are headed to
the cash counter or any place where the person needs to inquire about something .
You are face to face with a person and they are asking you questions (pay by
cash or card etc.) It is completely rude to keep jabbering on and simply
nodding in the direction of the cashier .
2.
Eye
contact : If we meet a person whilst we are on our phone , keep it aside. The texting or browsing can wait rather than having divided attention and not
looking at the speaker . This gives out an impression of lack of interest in
the person talking and also gives a away a very bad impression of self .
3.
No one
wants to hear you : Keep private things private , nobody next
in line wants to hear your issues or arguments , try avoiding such conversations
in public areas or at least in areas which are confined and people can hear you
.
4.
Sush it : In
places that need focus and people are taking their time to be there try not to
disrupt their peace with you blasting ringtone . While entering such places keep
your phone at silent .
5.
Look
around : Your phone is not the only source of entertainment ! If
you are in a train or bus look around enjoy the view , talk to people .
When with friends look up , interact with
them . All too often I witness a group of youngsters sitting together and
instead of interacting with each other they are scrolling down their phones.
When you are with others ,be with them .
Just having a good conversations and modeling good behavior with
our phones is often the best way to ensure our etiquette . Not giving full
attention to the person in front of you is the worst dent to your impression .
Until next time
Polý agape (lots of love) and stay cheerful :) !
