Hello guys!

Probably the worst time for such a post, heeding the quarantine situation in Kuwait. But I had this drafted to decided so post anyway :P.

Let’s hope and pray that things resume ASAP and we are all healthy and safe Insha’Allah.
A few weeks ago, I visited the much talked about Yasmeen Farms located in Wafra. Here is m experience there.

The route:

Easily available and on maps and not tricky to follow. The entrance has a big sign that can be spotted from a distance.

The fee:

The basic package costs you 1 KWD per person. On entering you’ll see the different packages and can choose from either. (You can see all the packages in the video linked below)

The attractions:

Yasmeen farms are mainly known for their organization and tidiness. Which is 100 percent true the area doesn’t reek of the animals or fresh produce.

As soon as you purchase the ticket you are asked to wait in line for your ride. An array of golf carts keep circulating  to help you commute. Once you board a cart, you are taken from amidst the plantation to a mini zoo area. Animal and birds such as (camel, peacock, deer, etc) are there and you can enjoy your time feeding them.

On walking a little further, you reach an area where fresh fruits and veggies are on sale, you can enjoy roasted corn and pick your strawberries right from the stems and take them home with you 😊.

There is a mini-mart with  fresh and organic dairy products from the farm up for sale.

Adjacent to which is a play area with some fun slides/rides for kids and a place to dine. (outside food is allowed).

I made a short video of my time there. Click here to view my IGTV on the same. It's worth a visit. If you have kids they would rejoice this place so much.

Until next time

Hello Kyfam,

I don’t know if anyone besides my mains (aka my family and friends) have noticed, but I took a pretty big break from blogging. An almost five-month break to be exact.

The break started out unintentionally. I was bogged down by other responsibilities, and in the little free time I had, I found it tough to motivate myself to do anything besides the bare minimum for my blog. The writer’s block was really real, and I was on the struggle bus.

I kept putting things off. I kept telling myself I would finally publish that post “tomorrow” except “tomorrow” kept getting pushed back, and I kept stressing about it. Eventually I just decided to be intentional about my break and simply enjoy it with no guilt looming over me.

So why did I take a break from blogging?

The simple answer would be because I needed it to prevent a complete and total burnout, but the real answer was much deeper than the occasional bout of laziness and writer’s block.

I guess I just needed it, the stress of making things Instagram-able, being in the constant thought loop of what to write/post next, sitting in front of the screen gazing at different articles to get inspired from was quite fatiguing. I found myself looking at other posts and almost mirroring the same on my blog. Which I definitely didn’t want to just to meet the “you have to post” deadline in my head.

That’s what I started to reflect upon when I stopped stressing and allowed myself to enjoy my blogging break. In that time, I spent thinking, I was finally able to admit something to myself.

“It’s never too late… to be whoever you want to be… You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing… I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”

I really love this quote, and this way of looking at life. It’s never too late to do anything. And if there is one thing, I know about myself it’s that I have the courage to adjust, adapt and start all over if necessary, in order to live a life, I’m proud of, a life that makes me happy.

A big thanks to all the lovely people who kept a check and asked me when I’ll be posting next. You guys kept me motivated to start again soon.

Until next time

H e l l o   K Y F A M  !
You can’t disagree with me here…There is nothing I enjoy more than a long and cozy morning routine, to set my day off on the right foot.
For mornings to be productive, peaceful and enjoyable, there are a few things we need to stop doing as soon as you wake up.

1. YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE

The most popular life hack gets to go first. If you haven’t heard that snoozing is bad for you – where have you been?
In all seriousness and first things first, STOP hitting that snooze button every morning.
As much as we enjoy that extra ten minutes of sleep, it is actually just making our body and mind more tired.
Get up the moment your alarm rings and don’t look back.
2. CHECK WORK EMAIL/Social media.
No one needs your attention at 6 in the morning, especially your work.
There is absolutely no reason why you should dive into work before you’ve even had your meal.
Check your work email when your workday starts and not a minute sooner.
If you are anticipating an important mail, hold in till when you start for work. I too struggle with this – but my mood and focus is so much better if I stay away from my inbox in the morning.
Coming to social media it is a swamp that will lag your schedule. You get scrolling and don’t realise that you have been there for 20-30 minutes.
3 . N O T  M A K I N G  Y O U R  B E D
Leaving a messy bed and coming home to an unpleasant room is not the best mood lifter. Making your bed in the morning is a small win and a great way to start our day right.

4. NOT EATING A HEALTHY BREAKFAST

Make sure your breakfast includes good protein, fiber, and fat.
Breakfasts like flavored yogurts, cereals, croissants, and other sugary breakfast options will just make you crash an hour later which is no good.
A nutritious and filling breakfast will help balance your blood sugar levels and make you feel fuller for longer.
If you’re one of those people who never eat breakfast and can make it until lunch – I challenge you to try filling your body up with nourishing foods to see if you feel more balanced and satisfied during the day.
5. HAVING YOUR COFFEE FIRST THING

Instead of grabbing your coffee first thing, try drinking at least 2 glasses of water to replenish your sleepy body.

6. NOT WASHING YOUR FACE

I don’t know how people can start their day without washing their face.
This is the first thing I do in the morning – I splash my face with as cold water as possible.
The cold water will jhuzh your system and help wake you up.
Plus, it feels totally refreshing.
7. NOT LETTING THE SUN/AIr IN

You need daylight, girl.
Getting ready for the day in the dark is not a good idea.
We need that sunshine and daylight to kick our circadian clock into gear.
Fresh air will do you good. Always.
If you don’t have time to go for a quick walk, open your window to let the fresh air in or sit on your balcony and enjoy your morning coffee.
8. making DECISIONS.
Decisions are to be made the night before.
When you wake up you will most likely feel groggy and foggy (sounds like dwarfs’ names) and it’s best if you don’t have to decide our outfit and other things early up in the day. So decide everything and be ready. This way you are waking up relaxed and not stressed out already.
"EVERY MORNING YOU GET TO CHOOSE – HOW YOUR DAY, WEEK, MONTH AND LIFE WILL BE SHAPED. AND THAT’S AN EXTRAORDINARY POWER WE ALL HAVE."

Until next time

Hi There!
How are you doing? Well I am in a chirpy mode as I received my Jollychic order this weekend BONUS I shopped at Miniso as well. Woop Woop.
For Kuwait residents Jollychic is an online shopping app with great stuff. So, I placed an order with home décor and random home stuff. Let’s get into the haul now
      1.      Toothpaste dispenser: I mean I’ll not even try to explain what this is :P Have a look.

 Price: 1.66 KWD
Installation: EASY
Usefulness: 5/5

2. Digital alarm clock: Got this one purely for the message board. CUTE.

 Price: 2.26 KWD
Installation: EASY
Usefulness: 3 (Regular white board maker is tough to erase on the message board)

3. Adjustable bed sheet clips: There is nothing more annoying than ill fitted sheets to me. I hate it when sheets keep shifting and form creases. These clips are so useful in this case. They hold and secure your fitted sheet/bed sheet.

Price: 1.88 KWD (4 pcs)
Installation: You’ll need help to install.
Usefulness: 5/5

4. Bed linen set: Got this one for EID was quite skeptical about the size and all. But the bed sheet was exact to size. However, the duvet cover is smaller than regular size.

Price : 6.500 KWD
Value for money: Unhappy with the duvet cover size. But love the print and cloth!

5. Jewellery Box: I use to string in all my rings in a ribbon to keep them in place. However, this way I had to pull out all the rings in order to get one. Too much work! This product is a gem for storing and all my accessories are now laid out and easy to manage.

 Price: 1.5 KWD
 Usefulness: 5/5

Jollychic is a great place to shop from. While at it definitely check the reviews before placing the order. You should expect a 9-14 days’ time to receive your order.

MINISO HAUL

6. Sticky Notes: I needed these for my office, Also look how cute!!! Got a bunch of stuff to use at work. Keep scrolling for more.

                                                           Price: 0.400 KWD each

7. Notebook: A set of three handy sized notebooks. I love to always have one by my side while working.

Price : 0.750 KWD

8. Weekly planner: Got this for my husband to keep at his work desk.

Price: 0.400 KWD

9. Water Bottle : To keep myself hydrated while at work. Picked this one because of the grip at the bottom.

Price: 1.250 KWD.

Until next time
