Wassup Kyfam !
If you follow me on instagram and snapchat you’d know that I recently attended a bloggers meet .

When I came to know about the event and that I could be a part of it I was very excited as it was my first bloggers meet. It’s was the first time I would be representing my blog and not be the person behind the screen.

On Saturday 4th June I attended my first ever blogger’s meet (meet, talk & blog - BLR) .Although I am not usually a shy or nervous person this was quite a new thing for me and after knowing that Geet(getalongwithgeet) would be at the event too we chatted and decided to arrive together to make it less scary as it was a first for both of us.

We reached our venue “Dialogues cafe – Kormangala” almost an hour in advance! We left super early as the place was quite far from our abodes. We didn’t let that extra hour go waste by being typical bloggers and clicking pictures at every corner of the gorgeous venue. Soon the people started coming and settled down .I met almost everybody that came in so that was a plus for being early :P

The event was organised by Dayita Sengupta (Keepitstylish) and she did an amazing job . To start the event we had an  ice breaker activity to get everyone talking which was nice to know the various types of bloggers . This was the best thing about the event it was open to all types of bloggers and not only a specific genre. After all our intros were done, we heard the 3 guest speakers for the day speak we had an illustrator, a fashion blogger and an arts and crafts blogger . Their tips and expertise really boosted my confidence and gave me an urge to put in more efforts and dedication into my blog.

Right after all three of them spoke we had a drinks break where we got to interact with all the bloggers while sipping on ice tea. However I was fasting that day so I got to do most of the talking  (YAAY) :P I met a few budding and established bloggers , exchanged numbers and emails. The next session was by ‘Winkl’ admits which I left to grab a bite because it was time I broke my fast .

Meanwhile I was joined by Vikas the co owner of Dialogues cafe , we had a small chat of how I started my blog and what do I write about .After this casual talk he asked if he could feature my story on his facebook page . I was honoured and gladly agreed to it . A few days later his intern (Noor) called me and took more insights on the blog. The next Sunday my blog story was featured on their page: D   Click here to read it.
The event came to an end with a group picture after which we all sat down and socialized over food and drinks .

Meeting other bloggers was amazing on the day and there was such a mix of people in the room, it brought home to me that you can blog about anything. All you need is to have the passion for what you want to write about and really get to know yourself and your audience and you will get there.

OOTD

I would like to thank Dayita Sengupta so much for inviting me to my first Bloggers Meet Up. She worked so hard at getting a fab venue, beautiful treats and a great session. I really loved it and although I didn't get a huge chance to talk to everyone, it was brilliant meeting at least to say hello to. Hopefully will see my new blogger friends soon at another meet up.

Until next time
Polý agape (lots of love) and stay cheerful :)

HI KYFAM !
Almost every summer, there is a deadly tension among girls on how to avoid this heat. One of the safest bet for all hijabis would be these long trousers with loose, extremely wide leg that flares out from the waist, most popularly known today as Palazzo pants . The next time you go out for a dinner date with your girlfriends, do try these extremely trendy and relaxing pants. Dress it up or down according to your style. From office wear to casual, Street style to party wear, Palazzo trousers can be styled elegantly for all occasions. Plus Palazzo Pants are very famous because it gives a leaner and comfortable look.
Like my facebook page Kyriasabah ,  and follow my Instagram account Kyriasabah to check out many more OOTD and updates .
Let's get styling :
Chambray Top : A chambray shirt mimics the look of denim while being a lightweight material that is often used for button downs. Whether you choose to button it up and tuck it in, leave it out, or unbuttoned with a shirt underneath, a chambray top provides comfort and style to the pants. The top gives you a variety of looks to play around with. It compliments  any color or print that the pants may have. It is the perfect piece to complete a summer outfit!

Blazer / Jacket : A light jacket like a jean or leather jacket is a staple wardrobe piece . However the formal blazer is the underdog giving the outfit an instant uplift to a very chic and office wear look . A solid jacket compliments the flowy pants and adds to the outfit while keeping the palazzos in focus.

Lightweight Cardigan : This is necessary for hijabis! It your top is too short or you choose to tuck it into the pants, you can throw on a long lightweight cardigan to provide extra coverage. This also makes any outfit look casual yet chic .

Long back hem tops : If it’s too hot for layering you can style your palazzo with long back hem top. The reason I love this style of tops is because they are longer at the back and provide more coverage and I can go about my day without being  fidgety or conscious about anything .
I styled my dust pink crinkled palazzos with a white long slit tunic . I used the long slit to my advantage by tucking only the front half in and leaving the back un tucked .

Accessories and Shoes : The best part of these pants are how easy it is to dress them up or down. You can throw on a statement necklace, add heels and a clutch for night time, or a floppy hat and flip-flops for the beach. Even plain white sneakers can be worn to dress things down!
These versatile pants can be styled in many different ways and can be worn all throughout this upcoming season. They are a must try if you want to incorporate a stylish trend that is modest as well. I am so excited for summer to wear these looks! What are your favorite ways to wear palazzo pants?
Until next time

Lipstick review

HELLOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE !

How are you guys ? I am super hyped about my finals getting over and am back with another BUY or BYE post Click here to read the previous one. For today’s post I am reviewing the Kylie and Huda beauty liquid lipsticks to see if they are worth all the hype . Keep reading to know my take on them.

       1.      Kylie liquid lipstick ( Birthday Edition) : I could get my hands on the birthday edition as at the time it was the only one with the least shipping cost :P .

Packaging : Needless to say the packaging is suuuper gorgeous . This being the birthday edition has a golden holder and I am digging it . It comes with a lip liner which is creamy and nice .Although it can get a little tough to sharpen. You get 3.75 ml of product which is a bit less for the price you pay for it .

Application : The doe foot applicator makes it easy to glide the product on although you need more than one application if you have pigmented lips . Coming to the whole lipstick experience , I gave it a few tries and I am not writing this based on one attempt but , I still don’t love it . The first application is not opaque enough and when you go for the second layer it gets all patchy and streaky .  You need to prep your lips really well before you apply it because it’s going to get drying . It might not seem initially but few hours on the run and your lips look massively dehydrated up-close and it also forms that chap stick sort of ring on your inner lips which I find very irritating .

I have heard that the formula various from shade to shade and the nude colors are really nice . I don’t intend to rant ,  for what I can speak of I disliked the ones I bought ( Kristen , Mary Jo k )

BUY or BYE :    BYE

     2.     Huda Beauty liquid lipstick (Famous):   I was already obsessed with this one , used to start and end my days by scrolling through the instagram posts .

Packaging :  A very chic acrylic tube that comes in a cardboard box covered with a plastic case . The lip liner is available as well but has to be purchased separately .You get 5ml of product which is pretty good .

Application : It has an angled doe foot applicator which fits perfectly against the lips .I was surprised when the first coat itself looked pretty good .It is quite opaque , you need to go over with a light second coat for a true velvet matte finish . It goes on the lips very smoothly and has a light creamy texture . Takes 5-7 minutes to dry and settle in . It is very comfortable on the lips even after drying , it is not highly moisturising but not extremely drying as well .
It performed well under the water and food test as well . Reapplication may be required after three hours if you had some oily food .

All and all I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT !!  Also I have a wedding to attend soon and I surely am taking this along .

Hello Kyfam !
I got to interact with a few of you in the past week and you guys send such uplifting and heart warming messages it makes my day . From the conversations we had I comprehended that you all love my DIY and hauls so , here is a DIY post for you beautiful people .

For those of you who are on my blog for the first time do click the follow button to be updated with my new posts and all my social media links are linked below .You can interact with me there . All that being said lets get DIY-ing.

      1.      Ruffle Shrug/Vest : This DIY is an absolute  saviour when you want to add a lil texture/print to your outfit or want more coverage . Plus it’s so so easy to make .

YOU’LL NEED:  A Scarf .

Get Making :

·        Fold the scarf into half horizontally
·        Tie the top left and right ends of the scarf .
·        Make a double knot to secure .
·        Unfold the scarf to look like this .

·        The two openings will serves as arm holes .

·        And you are done ! Go flaunting your new DIY ruffle vest .

      2.      Tote Bag : If you are in India right now you must be aware of the whole plastic ban and shopping gets irritating when they cost you for the shopping bags . Here is a uber easy way to make your own tote bag and carry along when you go shopping and save those extra bucks .

YOU’LL NEED :

Get Making :

·        Cut the sleeves and neck line . To get an even cut fold the shirt horizontally and cut the sleeves together .

·        Place a book to mark the depth of the bag .

·        Cut fringes up to the mark made .

·        Knot the front and back fringes . Double knot to secure .

·        And you are done!

·        If you are not a fan of fringes flip the bag inside out .

·        The tee I choose was rather plain so I painted a quote on it .

      3.      Kimono/Shrug : This is the perfect way to re-purpose your Kurtis which you no longer wear or go a lil small for you .

YOU’LL NEED :

Get Making :
·        Mark a line from the center down .You can either use a marker to do so or just eye it down.

·        Cut along the line .Cut off any beads or embellishments to get an easier cut

·        Now, Hem the edges by folding the cloth on the inside using a fabric glue . If you know stitching you can do that as well.

·        That’s It !!

It takes literally two minutes to make this and can be paired with any plain outfit to add that pop of color or ethnic touch .

Hope ya’ll liked these hacks and if you recreate any do tag me in your posts ( @kyriasabah)

           Until next time
