9 ways to get more stuff done
Whether we are
overwhelmed by the never ending to do list or simply distracted (thank you
social media) it feels like we just can’t get enough out of the day. Until 40
hour days are invented these tips can come in handy.
1.
Get
enough sleep: “I’ll
sleep when I am dead” whoever coined that phrase didn't have all the facts
straight. Not getting enough sleep can be a hindrance to productivity. So get
that six to seven hours of snooze time.
2.
Create Schedules: This
will help you get up to a pre planned day and you will know what stuff is to be
done that day, rather than pushing things to the next day.
3.
Wake up
earlier: Things are done so much better and faster with
fewer distractions. As long as you get enough sleep, squeeze in an extra hour
to get the work done.
4.
Take a
mid-day break : Doing things at a stretch may get stressful ,
take five minute breaks for a snack or a stroll . When you get back to
continuing you will be more productive .
5.
Don’t
multitask : As fancy as it sounds , it can
really take the energy out of you .
6.
Set
triggers : Leave remainders around your work place to
ensure you are getting yours tasks for the day done and check on further tasks
.
7.
Silence
your phone :If you have a time constrain to get a task
done , keep all distractions at bay .
8.
Brainstorm : Let
them creative juices flow , sit down , silence the phone , focus .
9.
Say ‘No’: Don’t
stretch yourself into everything, when you are given tasks while you are
swamped or told to do things out of your area of interest say NO. Accept only
MIT (most important things :P)
