We all tend to follow the monotonous routines that we have fixed and are content with it. These small routine changes can cause a huge impact on your life and a positive one.

1.      Assume you are good enough, always: Whenever you are feeling a tad bit vulnerable , always go into it with the mentality that you are good enough and the results will always be good  .

2.     Spend more time, walking: Walking at least 30 minutes a day can help improve you mood and also in maintaining a healthy lifestyle .

3.     Keep the junk aside, inside: Junkies are a treat to the taste buds but bad for health. So keep them safe inside.  A visual reminder that they are there will want you to gobble more.

4.      Make your bed every morning : A very small routine change , this might seem impact less but , coming back to a clean organised looking space will automatically put you into a good mood .

5.     Less complaining, more laughing: Complaining is unproductive always , so avoid that becoming a habit . On the flip side ignore the nonsense and laugh more  .

6.     Take time to do something nice for others : Seeing someone smile , and you being the reason feels good doesn’t it , Do it more , help someone or just smile at someone .

P.S : I have my tests from this week . So , my next post is scheduled on the 8th of January . See you then :D

Until next time

In this world of chaos, find your peace. I found mine (pretty much) by abiding by the following tips/steps. However the idea of being at peace or relaxed varies from person to person. These tips really worked for me and helped me be a happier person. They are just small routine changes and shift in mindset.

1.      Exercise: Happy people are most likely to engage in health promoting behaviors. Also exercise significantly decreases depression or stress. If not daily do indulge in the activity at least once in a week.

2.     Happy Friends: With each positive person you are surrounded with, you mold into a happier person  As they are the people who spend most of your time with , they play a vital role .

3.      Eat healthy: Happy body , happy you .

4.     Smart thrills : Know that you don’t need to dive into a can of beer or drugs to get your kicks .Be content with reality , and understand that reckless leads to wreak more .

5.     Enough sleep : Unhappiness hinders sleep . A low stress level promotes a good night sleep . So , if you feel rested you are more likely to have a nice day .

6.     Self trust : If you constantly doubt your own judgement you are prone to a wide range of psychological issues ( mood swings , anxiety , lower self esteem , depression , etc.)

7.     Gratitude :  Use the resources you have . Instead of focusing what you don’t , recognize and make the best out of it .

8.    Bounce back : If some situations lead to you feeling a little low . Divert your thoughts towards something else (any hobby of yours). Avoid staying in the loop hole.

9.     Unplug: Allot your T.V time to your hobbies . Avoid hours of couch time.

10. Smile and Appreciate: Smile more and be genuinely happy for people who are doing well. Wanting their failure is not going to be of any benefit to you instead take it as a challenge and top it .

       Keep smiling : )

Until next time

Whilst we hear “fake it, till you make it”, there is  a fine line between being confident and showing and screaming confidence which portrays you are actually insecure . Forget thin it is a big, fat , chunky line .
A big factor nowadays is social media. Majority seek validation and judge others on number of likes, followers etc. One needs to understand that the point is to share the image and not to have a daily reinforcement from others of their worth.
I just wanted to throw a light on that as it leads to insecurity in many people nowadays . However, listed below are a few traits found in confident people and insecure people. Self evaluate as you go through them.

Confident People:
  •        Open minded.
  •        Give compliments.
  •         Takes responsibility for thoughts, feelings, actions and results.
  •         Operates on principle.
  •         Can easily engage a conversation new people.
  •         Admits mistakes.
  •     Willing to learn from other people.
  •       Not afraid to show their flaws.
  •         Take risks.
  •         Positive thinker.
  •         Exudes joy.
  •         Shares credit.
  •         Say sorry.
  •         Can laugh at themselves.
  •         Accept others differences.
  •         Abundance mindset giver.
  •         Makes decisions quickly.
  •         Keep learning and growing.
  •         Never talk negatively about people.
  •         Like to have people around.
  •         Motto “Hakuna Matata” .

Insecure People:
  •          Close Minded.
  •         Seek validation.
  •         All know er.
  •         Make excuses.
  •         Do what feels good.
  •         Blame circumstances or people for the results.
  •         Come off fake because they hide their flaws.
  •         Stay in comfort zone.
  •         Negative thinker.
  •         Gossips.
  •         Scarcity mindset taker.
  •         Dislike people picking merry jokes on them.
  •         Judgmental.
  •         Worry about what others think.
  •         Can’t make fast decisions.
  •         Stay stuck old habits.
  •         Uncomfortable around new people.
  •         Hold grudges.
  •         Expect a lot from friends/family.
  •         Make relationships materialistic.
  •         Like taking whole credit.
  •         Can’t directly speak to the person they have an issue with     instead choose     to complain.
  •         Catch phrase  “I told you so”

It’s better to identify that we behave confidently or insecurely so that we realise and change the behaviours we repeatedly indulge in . Where you go from here is entirely up to you , and determined on the habits you choose  from this point onwards .
Let’s work on ourselves and step into 2017 with a motto for a  positive change .

Until next time

Don’t we all WISH we were blessed with perfect, angel like, flawless skin! But, in vain.
No worries it doesn’t take much to look your best, no matter what skin type you are. Here is a concise (yet comprehensive) skin care syllabus. I have classified it into daily, weekly, monthly and yearly categories so that it is easy to keep a track of.

  •     Wash your face least twice daily.
  •         Take off you makeup every night.
  •         Apply moisturizer after cleansing.
  •         Take warm, not hot shower.
  •         Drink tons of water.
  •         Get 7 hours of sleep.
  •         Wear SPF 30+.

  •         Do an at home peel off mask.
  •         Exercise three times a week.
  •         Disinfect your cell phone.
  •         Change your pillow cases.
  •         Clean your makeup brushes.

  •         Exfoliate your body with sugar scrub.
  •         Do a facial.
  •         Examine for suspicious lumps and moles.

  •         See a dermatologist
  •         Do a skin screening.

Apart from all this skin issues are usually linked to digestion dysfunction . So , eat healthy and keep yourself well hydrated .

Until next time

Everything pretty comes in a box. But, what if you want to gift something personalised and don’t find a box just right for it? MAKE ONE!

Here is a super easy way to make an origami box. It just requires a little folding and resizing and you are done. Let’s get into the procedure

You will need:

·        Craft paper (thicker than writing paper so that the box is rigid enough to hold the present).
·        Scissors.
·        Ruler.
·        Pen/Pencil (for marking purposes).
·        Tape/glue.

How to :

·        You will need a square sheet. If you have a rectangular sheet fold it from the top right corner like shown and cut along the edge to make a square.

·        Fold the opposite corners together to look like this.

·        Fold any one corner towards the centre. Do the same for all four corners.

·        Open up the paper and fold any corner like shown. Do this to all four corners.

·        Open up the paper and you should have a square in the centre. Now cut along the marked lines.

·        Your paper should be looking like this by now. Fold any corner a little like shown. Do this for both the uncut corners. Fold a longer section to the same corners like so.

·        You will have flaps to the right and left of both folds. Overlap them as shown. Push them up to make a box like structure.

·        Now take the longer flap and fold it over the structure created .Tape/glue it down to secure it from moving.

·        Make two boxes for one to act as the bottom and the other as the lid.

·        Personalise to your choice and VOILA ! you have a beautiful gift box

You can find the requirements at any nearby stationary store or at : amazon

Until next time
